Bousfield Suite is named for the home’s first owners. Robert Bousfield and his
brother were barrel makers at the height of Bay City’s lumber era prosperity.
You will instantly begin to relax as you enter this outstanding luxury suite
overlooking the grounds of the inn. This soothing cream and white room features a
beautiful queen size bed facing a working fireplace, table and two chairs. There
is a roll top desk with a woven chair, cozy down sofa for relaxing. Your robes hang
in a huge walk-in closet and your private bath is very bright and spacious.
Bousfield Suite has a second story terrace that overlooks the grounds and is
everyone's favorite place to relax during the day or gaze at the stars during
the evening. Relax on the two person hammock, enjoy breakfast at the table or
lounge in the chaises. All of this in complete privacy. It’s like having your
own private tree house. For the business traveler there is wireless internet

Coryell Suite

Two Coryell families owned the home in the last century. The family owned and
operated a sugar beet processing factory and played a key role in the growth or
Bay City including the establishment of a bank. A very relaxing suite it is decorated in green and
white toile wallpaper. Sun filters through lace curtains as
you curl up with a good book either in the comfortable rose
colored chairs or enjoy the view of historic Center Avenue
from the built in window seat. The writing desk nestled in a
cove also provides use as a vanity to prepare for a special
event or night on the town. The lovely bed layered with white
linens and luxurious pillows invites you to rest and relax on
the superb queen sized bed. Spacious closets allow for a long
stay. Your robes and en suite pink bath provide comfort and
privacy. Like all other suites there is complimentary access
to wireless internet and a satellite television is available
upon request.

Smith Suite

The Smith room recognizes one of the home’s longest owners.
Mr. Smith, a prominent local attorney, and his family enjoyed
the home and brought modernization to many of the spaces, including this room.
This suite is comprised of three separate spaces. The elegant and dramatic
bedroom is papered in period
floral , accented by chairs covered in the same print. The bedcrown and its
drapes mark an atmosphere that will make you feel transported to another time
while resting in the queen sized bed. Adjoining the bed chamber is the jacuzzi
room availble only to the occupants of this suite. The private bath papered to
match the bedroom adjoins the spa area. In addition to all of this luxury, the
room includes complimentary access to wireless internet and satellite television
ensuite upon request. This is our most popular room so reserve early.

Dr. Ballard Suite

This suite is named for one of the home’s owners, a prominent
physician in his day and the owner of the first automobile in
Bay City. This
room does not include its own bath and is only rented when
the occupants are accompanied by a guest in one of our other
suites. As with all of our accommodations, this room’s queen
size bed is covered in luxurious bed linens including a down
duvet. An antique secretary and art work make this room a
space that is welcoming and comfortable.
